October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Today is Purple Thursday, I wanted to invite you to stand with us in raising awareness about domestic violence and supporting survivors in our community. Purple Thursday is a simple yet powerful way to make a statement: by wearing purple on Thursday, October 17th, you can show your solidarity and help spread awareness about an issue that affects so many.

Why Participate?

Domestic violence affects millions of individuals across all communities.

Raising awareness helps break the silence and stigma surrounding it.

A visible show of support can encourage those suffering in silence to reach out for help.

How You Can Help:

Wear purple on October 17th. Whether it’s a shirt, scarf, or even a small accessory, your purple will make a difference.

Share on social media. Post a picture in your purple attire with the hashtag #PurpleThursday to help spread awareness. Encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same.

Start a conversation. Use this day as an opportunity to talk to others about domestic violence prevention and support resources available to those in need.

If you’re interested in getting more involved, there are additional ways to contribute beyond Purple Thursday. From volunteering to donating to local organizations supporting survivors, every action helps.

Together, we can make a difference. Thank you for joining us in making this Purple Thursday a day of awareness, compassion, and support. Your participation truly matters!

"I have been going here for 2 years. I feel like Dr. Park is very educated in mental health and will be honest with the steps needed to break away from addiction or control mental illness. I love the office staff and would recommend them to my friends or family."
