Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

  • FDA approved for adults with Major Depressive Disorder
  • Best alternative when medication has been ineffective
  • Covered by all major insurances
  • Medicare and Medicare Advantage accepted

TMS is a noninvasive form of brain stimulation. TMS devices operate completely outside of the body and affect central nervous system activity by applying powerful magnetic fields to specific areas of the brain that are involved in depression.

TMS is generally well tolerated as compared to the side effects often seen with medications and other treatments for depression. The most common side effect is headache during or after treatment.

Work. Play. Love.

Mental illness and substance abuse issues are debilitating medical conditions that effect all aspects of life, from career to relationships. The Mind Store takes a practical approach to your care and we strive to create measurable improvement in your quality of life. We focus on helping you function by getting back to work on a regular basis, caring about your hobbies again, and being active in your relationships with loved ones.

Standard of Care

It is our mission to elevate the standard of mental health care through evidence-based methods. Research shows that combined treatment using both psychotherapy and medication is more effective. We take that conclusion one step further, and believe that the most qualified person to prescribe medications is the same person who spends quality time with the patient as his or her psychotherapist. At The Mind Store, we only schedule 30 and 60 minute appointments, never 15 minute “med checks”. It is critical that the provider has enough time to discuss what is going on in your life before recommending continuation or changes in medications. Learn more about our approach here.

Individualized Treatment Plans

We work with each person as an individual, focusing on your history, current situation and aspirations to implement an effective plan for your future. In addressing your unique circumstances, our clinicians gently guide your treatment with the goal of improving relationships, self-esteem, career decisions, and the quality of daily life. Our clinicians treat a wide variety of behavioral, emotional and other mental health and substance abuse issues such as:

  • Social and General Anxiety
  • Depression or Mood Issues
  • Employment Concerns
  • Sleep Issues
  • Substance-Related Issues
  • Grief and Loss
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Attention / Focus / Concentration
  • Child / Adolescent / Family Issues
